Possibility of Savings
In the early 1960’s to the late 1980’s utility service
providers were essentially State Government owned and
they had an underlying aim to provide services and
advice to Industry at least cost, by actively informing
customers of lower cost actions and initiatives.
From the late 1980’s to present day, service providers
of gas, electricity and water have been increasing their
reliance upon the application of commercial principles
to meet Treasury demands of an increased contribution to
the Consolidated Revenue Fund (CRF).
If you have had a service established within the early
period then you are even more likely to be paying far in
excess of what you need to, and there is also a real
possibility that your operational requirements no longer
match your existing tariff structure. |
